Well that was a bit flat.. Liverpool lost 2-1 to Milan in the champions league final. We watched it round mini's. Who now has a nice nice 26" Hitachi widescreen TV with freeview! So we had a nice picture, and big enough for all to see! Sadly what we could see wasn't that great! Still, i'd said all along i didnt think liverpool could do it this time. Bet Bro is gutted.

On the plus time i watched the Rangers montage when i got back. Is there anyone who listens to "Half light" by Athlete that DOESN'T think of happy thoughts! It always makes me smile! Not just because of the montage! Although the montage is still the best video i ever made! Go see!!

And with that, i'm off to work!

I'm currently wilfing.. (What Was I Looking For.. internet speak for pratting about online). So i figured i may as well blog again. Been a while since i've done some blogging. Hence all the pics are different sizes! Can't remember how/be bothered to edit them right! But they're there anyway! So you can see whats going on.

As i said, work is good. I'm an IT consultant now. Whereas other helpdesks log your call and call you back, we deal with the problem there and then. So its a steep learning curve! But i'm getting there, and often sorting out problems myself. Today i had one call that lasted 90 minutes! Trying to get this irish guys router to work. Took forever and we eventually found out it was a problem with Eirecomm and not us. So that was frustrating, and meant i left late!

Didnt get up at 6. Well, i did, but i didnt go running. .Too tired. I will try. I figure if i keep getting up at 6, i'll get up eventually! Not the same next week tho. I'm on 11-7 shift. So i'll be getting up at 8:20 instead! although i wont be getting home til 9:10. The joys of not driving.

As for driving, i'm booking my test tomorrow. Just got to get the time off work. So thats fun. Then i just have to work out whether to invest in a good car, or get a crap one and pay for all th repairs!

I'm an uncle again. Scarlett was born the other day, and that makes 4 nieces i have now. As soon as i can drive, i'll make the epic 7 hour drive down there to see them! Bro is more happy with the fact she wasn't born tomorrow i think!! That means he can watch the champions league final. Should've been an all premiership final with the better red side there. But wasnt to be. So milan it is.

Long time no blog..

I'm not adding a blog, just realised I've not done this for ages. Work is amazing. Enjoying every day there. I'm amazed to have found a job i enjoy and that I'm good at. IT support really is my calling at the moment. Sure I'm not on anywhere near what the lads are on. But I'm starting out. Been there 9 weeks now. Another 3 1/2 months and i get confirmed as an employee, a small pay rise, and i get sent on my ITIL training course. Also hoping to get an MCSE under my belt at some point, but I'll wait til I'm settled first.

Booking my driving test shortly. Hopefully driving in the non too distant future. Car looks like being a Honda civic 1.6i VTEC sport with body kit, or a ford focus 1.8 ZETEC MP3. Both affordable, both OK for insurance, both look sporty. So keen on that.

Mui Mui is huge, and the cutest thing you've ever seen. She is gorgeous. Big now, as she's 6 months old. But i love her to bits. And when I'm not with her she searches the house for me. Always sad to wave goodbye to her.

Just stuck up some more mui mui stuff, just jack concert footage, and will be shortly posting John's housewarming on there. Oh, and the BIG match.. Check out the rangers blog for more info. I'm toying with the idea of filming us watching the champions league final too. just to see what it looks like. Could be fun, but wont be watched much! But i like the social experiment idea.

New Horizons

Well, believe it or not, i have to update my blog as mum was complaining that it was old! Pah!

Anyway, update on whats been going on. I left my old job on January 30th. 1 day before the transfer to the new company occurred. It was a day sadder than i thought it would be. I actually got a little upset when i got home, as I've known them all for 5 years, and it was a nice little family. Just a shame the job wasn't great, and the pay was worse! So anyway, I made nice fresh new beginnings! I did my first driving lesson on Jan 31st. In one of these no less!!

DRIVING

Astra Twintop

Yup, it's an Astra twintop 1.9 TDCI! Mad!! Great acceleration! Even in 2nd! My instructor even said i could put the roof down when it gets warmer and sunnier! And there's no rules saying you cant have the roof down during the test! Which will make for great visibility! Haha! He's said I'm doing really well, just need to start perfecting the skills I've learned, and start doing manoveurs. Might up up taking my test may/June time?!

JOB HUNT

So, i decided after a week of hunting, that i should be paid for it! I've been paying taxes for 8 years in work, i should get some money back from that! Its suppose to be £57 a week! But no.. Job centre is ATTROCIOUS. I've told them i took voluntary redundancy, and its taken them 3 WEEKS now, and still no sign of money. Just letter after letter saying "please prove you've sold £200 of shares", "please prove you've paid your dad back", "please tell us why you paid off your credit card". Because credit interest is 6 times lower than debit interest you morons!! Seriously! Its really annoying me! They're useless! And don't even have a single computer help desk job on their systems!

FIRST INTERVIEW

So, i did a blitzing session with the GF after valentines day applying for jobs. Which isn't easy when you have a playful puppy running around your feet! Applied for a mountain of jobs. And about 4 days later got an email through saying one of them liked my CV, could i come in for an interview. 1st interview for like 3 years! So i was nervous. Spent the whole day before preparing, and the GF went through a mock interview with me. Anyway, went to the interview and didnt think I'd done that well! Asked a few technical questions that i didn't know, but i did assure them I'm a fast learner with technology. Then i spent an hour chatting to the team. And seeing what they do. Anyway, left the interview in salford quays and switched on my phone when i got to Piccadilly. There was a message from the recruiter. Rang him up and they offered me the job! not 20 minutes after I'd left the offices!!! They are still interviewing for the other position, so happy that they liked me! Team seems really nice, its a 30% pay increase on the bank. With another 3% in 6 months time when i finish the probation period. Which means, as I've paid off all debts, i can start saving to move out! GF was looking tentatively for a job in Manchester, and we could possibly get a flat together. Maybe in salford, as nice flats are half the price of city centre! And its close to my work! I start March 12th anyway. IT Help desk. Cant wait! out of work for 3 weeks, and get offered a job start in 2 weeks! Brilliant!

PUPPY

Ah Mui Mui.. The playful little pup! She's 14 weeks now. Getting really big! She can just about jump on the sofa, as long as the cushion has been sat on to lower it! She found out last night how to open doors, as she keeps letting herself out of the closed kitchen!!! Mad! Anyway, she spent her first weekend at mine recently. She had to sleep in my room, so as not to cry downstairs in our teeny house, as it would've woken everyone up! But it means she's up at 7am every morning as she needs to pee! So she wakes me up to take her downstairs. So i didn't have a great sleep at the weekend! Still, here's the pics of hers at mine, and the vids of hers at the GF's the week before.

Puppy update

Just a swift one. I finish work on tuesday. Finally redundant! Get my cheque through which enables me to clear debts, pay back folks, and have a career change! Hoping to learn to drive at some point, although that depends on funds!

Anyway, not had chance to edit the puppy pics. hadnt seen her for 2 weeks. My god how fast she's grown! her hair is so much softer, and her tails so much longer! She's trying to learn not to nip. And she's just today learned to climb stairs!!! Which is crazy!! Off to see her and the GF again this weekend. Last one til i'm jobless! Crazy! Anyway, have fun with this vid of Mui Mui. Just wacked it together with windows movie maker. Not a very good editting prog, but it works.

The New Puppy!

That's right! It's puppy time! We picked her up on Saturday in doncaster. We'd visited the breeder a few weeks back, and collected an 8 week old puppy on Saturday! Well, i say 8 week old, but on arrival home we discover she's 7 weeks! Born 17th November if memory serves correct!! Crazy! Ah well, she got home safely, was a bit shy, then got bolder, cried the whole night at being left alone, and now she's bold enough to start playing with toys and trying to bite us playfully!

She's slowly learning that being alone doesn't mean we don't love her! But its taking time! And the biting is playful, as that's how she would play with other dogs. Anyway, a clean bill of health came back from the vet. A gentlemen of bizarre mannerisms! Knew his stuff, but no-one there had ever seen this breed! So they all doted on her. She is a coton de tulear. Basically a cotton like haired dog from the region of Madagascar called tulear. Simple french really. She's UBER cute tho! Don't believe me?

She's called Mui Mui (read: Moy Moy). Its Cantonese for little girl or cute girl. Its endearing! And she wont grow massive, so she'll always be cute! Can't wait til she grows up a little tho! And starts behaving!

Staying at Shiz's at the mo, so posting this whilst abusing his net! He's shot off to bed. Watched district 13 tonight. A luc besson film i got in the sales. Not much storyline, but stylish free running. Staying here whilst the bathroom at home is decorated. Didn't like the idea of 4 days without a shower! Plus I'm getting a lift to work tomorrow! which is fab! Get to leave at 810! Much better than my homely 705! Hopefully playing footy too! God knows i need the exercise! Also need to start jogging for the Manchester 10k run again! Well, that and apply for many more jobs! I get made redundant in 14 working days! Freaky!

Oh, and i removed all the mp3's from my blog too. Apart from the wolf and mulrooney ones. "Dreaming" by the coral had 1019 hits this month alone!! So deleted it so i don't get my bandwidth pulled again!

Long time no see

I've not posted for ages. Although i know you're all still checking as i looked at my web stats. I'm sure you're not interested in my full story, so I'll just skip through.

Hong Kong, amazing. But then i think it always will be. The hustle and bustle is incredible. Went to Mong Kok, where i got a DSC-T10 Sony 7.2mp slim cybershot with dual image stabilisers. I got the SPK-THC underwater case as well when in the Sony shop. They even gave me a European warranty on both! And even with a spare battery and 2 2gb mem cards, it was STILL £70 cheaper than the UK!! Also got a black 80Gb Video iPod. I always said I'd never get one, and like to think that Apple raised the game to my level, and i didn't fall down to them. 80Gb is great as my 30gb had gotten too small. 20 hour batt life. tasty.

Hong Kong, as i say, was great. Met up with the GF's uncle. Went to the government building to get the GF's new biometric ID card sorted. Didn't take long. Liverpool passport office take note.. I got a suit tailored for me, which is fantastic, and the same price as an M&S one here! But it has my name in saying it was specially tailored for me! I got some new Gucci glasses too. Made within a day and the staff were so helpful! It makes me sad to leave Hong Kong. The service you get there is impeccable. Beautiful island. We stayed in causeway bay this time, actually on the island. We met up with Johnny and Cecilia, who we met there last time. They took us out for dinner. But having been out til 4am drinking the night before by the real Soho, at the top of the worlds largest outdoor escalator, i was sick the second i got out johnnies car! Embarrassing! We went to the night market, which had over 200 stalls! BRILLIANT! If you want rip off bags and watches, good place to go. I got souvenirs.

We then went to Australia. It really was whistle stop! Sydney we climbed the bridge. everyone should do it! Amazing views. Great stories. We went to manly beach and got attacked by seagulls whilst eating fish and chips! We went to 41. A restaurant with stunning views over the city. gorgeous food too. Went to the aquarium. Went on the stunning blue mountain tour. First to a nature reserve, then to the mountains to take in the views, then rode the cable car, steep railway, and then lift. went to a winery. Saw the telstra stadium that was used for the Olympics. And then got the boat back coming under the bridge on the way home. Went to the ROCKS night market after that. about 40 stalls. Good quality stuff, and we bought pictures and things. Stuff for the kids.

Melbourne next, and a different type of visit. Rented a car, and as soon as we got there went to Phillip island. A good 2 1/2 hour drive that the GF had to do. But well worth it. Sat on a secluded beach with 6 other people, wearing night vision goggles, and watching fairy penguins come in from the sea. I was lucky enough to be at the end, and when one was scared by a fox, it came so incredibly close to me. Then ran into the sea. All the penguins were going close to my right to climb up the beach into their nests. An experience that will always stay with me. Next day we went on the great ocean drive. Yet again 7 hours in the car! But the fuel is cheap, and the Hyundai wasn't thirsty. Ocean road was stunning! I'll stick the vid up when i remove all the swearing! Natural beauty. We even found secluded beaches for just me and the GF. third and final day in Melbourne we HAD planned to do the neighbours tour, but a mix up meant it was cancelled. So we had afternoon tea at the oldest hotel in Melbourne. Cheap too! And then in the evening, after a day of wandering and getting mum stamps, we went to a Japanese fusion restaurant. Had my first oyster shooter! Nice food, tho often spicy!

Cairns next, and a STARK contrast in heat. Whereas it had always rained in Sydney and Melbourne, cairns was close to 35C! Much more what we were expecting! Hotel was GREAT! Cheap and fantastic! It was in Yorkeys Knob, which means without a car, you miss out on cairns. But it was a home away from home. Pool, gate lead straight onto the beach, which meant we swam in the sea and tested out my underwater case. Restaurant there was AMAZING. The guy that ran it was simply fantastic. swordfish was almost as good as any steak I'd ever had. Seriously good! And i don't often eat fish, so it REALLY was that good! We went to kuranda on the scenic train. BAKING. So hot in the carriages! Village was quaint, and had a market, where i got lots of tat! Salt and pepper pots which i couldn't ignore! Went to see the koalas, kangaroos and butterflies up there. Which was amazing. Great wildlife. The butterflies kept landing on us as they liked the colours we were wearing! We took the 7.5km cable car back down.

Then came the barrier reef! Sat at the back of the boat with a green GF, watching LOADS of Japanese people throwing up! Then at the reef we did an introduction snorkel. Hence i wore life jacket so i could just float and take pics underwater. I wasn't allowed to scuba dive due to my asthma, but the GF did and she love it. I spent ALL day just floating around the reef taking hundreds of pics! Seriously, i filled both 2gb cards on holiday, and took over 1000 pics!

Last night was spent at a 5 star hotel in Sydney. Gorgeous room. 4 poster bed, had a stunning 8 course meal in the restaurant with 8 wine courses! Then retired to the room to sleep off dinner having enjoyed the luxury of the room! We had breakfast brought onto the balcony the next morning to really finish our holiday in style. Was GREAT! Then a mere 37 hours travelling later we were back in the cold UK! Where the GF started her new job.

I got my Wii on 8th Dec. Took the day off. Its simply amazing. had mum, dad, lads, GF's family and friends on it. Everyone loves it. And when GF's mum nearly beats me at bowling, you know its skill rather than button mashing! It really is amazing. Although lads broke one of the controllers whilst either a)hitting one of my mates round the face in baseball. Or b) smashing into a light fitting in tennis. Now it doesn't connect right, and makes funny noises!

Got this new laptop on 11th Dec. 2.16ghz, 2Gb RAM, 160Gb HDD, 512Mb 7950 GTX graphics card. Got great discount, and folks but loads towards it for my bday and Xmas. So Bro is getting my old PC that used to blast things to the moon. Although doesn't know. It'll do him more than fine tho! it gets 1700 3dmarks and the laptop gets 5182!! Or in real terms i now get 108fps at FULL 1900x1200 2xaa all textures on full with HDR enabled on Half Life 2: Lost Coast demo. Now that's powerful!

Played footy 21st december, ended up in casualty! Turned out to be only a strained ligament. But i was really struggling to walk! All this and it wasnt even a match injury! Took a shot in practicec and something eased away from the bone. Had to straightened my leg to release the lilgament and hear an almighty crack! Now my knee's clicking all the time!!

Xmas has come and gone, and the GF got me great gifts! A block of wood that hides an LED clock BEHIND the wood, and shines through! great! And an 8" TFT LCD photo frame for all the holiday pics, so i can remote control what i want to show. Really cool! Spent Xmas with the GF's family. Spent most of the time watching CSI Miami series 5! Went to her grans boxing day, and played wii again. Also played texas holdem poker.

On wed 27th we visited a breeder and many notes later we bought a puppy. We pick up lil Mui Mui on the 6th Jan. She's a Coton de Tulear, and you'll see LOTS of pics and vids now I'm back up after transferring comp stuff.

New year we spent at the GFs and had our party on Fri. Was superb. Good times had by all, nice and tasteful til i got drunk, and the bad jokes flew! again people wanted to play wii all night! New years eve it was just me and GF for a romantic night. Cooked fillet steak and potato fritatas, and had a few bottles of red, and curled up on the sofa under a duvet and watched CSI Miami and finished the series. Was nice to see in 2007 in each others arms,

And that brings you up to date. Only other things to mention, and they are important, are these. Zach, my lovebird, died today. We think he had a stroke over new year, and unfortunately despite him trying he didn't recover. So Roxy, his partner is now looking very lonely. Its sad because i love my birds. They always hear my problems and i love whistling in the house and setting them off into a song. Its sad to think i can never do that again.

Other news is that 30th Jan is my last day at work. I'm FINALLY redundant. Thank god! Only taken 3 years! Still, i can start looking for a new job now, and i fancy computers. Everyone has always said i waste my technological talents in banking and sales! So we'll see what the future brings. And yes. 2007 is DEF a year i have to learn to drive!

Just a swift update. As i haven't done one for a month!

Basically I know i haven't been around alot. I'm not ignoring anyone, and I'm not depressed like the beginning of the year. Just been uber busy! Redundancy things at work means time spent on my CV, and looking into a career change into computers, or at least technical things. Decorating my room for the first time in forever! Gone with the teeny lil bed that my feet stick out the end of! Gone with the black furniture! Gone with the white walls! I'll stick up pics when its all done. But yeah, taking ALOT longer than we anticipated! I had magazines under my bed (T3 tech mags, not porn. Well, not your porn, but T3 IS my tech porn!) dating back to 1994!! And comics from 1989!!! So as you can imagine we had MANY trips to the tip and charity shops. New furniture turns up on wed. Cant wait. We're trying to do my room at the folks room at the same time. But frankly the house is just too god-damn small!

Ah well, just thought I'd drop an update. Saw shiz on the bus, and hadn't realised how long it'd been since I'd seen folk! Tho I've seen pie on the bus twice now when he's sat away from me and not noticed me! Come and say hello! I don't bite!! I know my hair is long and people don't recognise me! Even shiz walked past me on the bus today!

Well, I'll post proper when i get my room proper sorted. Prob another week or so. Will have pics then! Have fun people!

Wii thoughts and Video Blow out!

So, no doubt you all heard the Wii info. USA 19th November for £133 equiv, japan 2nd december £115 equiv, Australia 7th December £168 equiv, Europe 8th December £168 equiv, and HERE on December 8th for £179. So yeah, once again "rip off britain" rears its ugly head. Still, i was prepared to go up to this price. Although 8th december was about a week later than i wanted!! Still, I'll have gotten all the jet lag out of my system by the time my Wii arrives.

We're getting the standard pack which is good. console, one controller, one nunchuk, and Wii sports bundled. So we can play Baseball, Tennis, Bowling, Golf, and now Boxing! The nunchuk being held in one hand, and the controller in the other. You just swing at the screen and your hand movements are translated onto your avatar. Although it turns out that it no longer supports DVD play. They didnt want to charge more for this, as every home has a DVD anyway. Credit to them i guess. They're not sticking in anything thats not needed. And Nintendo said they're making profit on EVERY console shipped. There's even suggestions by some analysts that Ninty will shift upto 7 million of them by march 07!!

Anyway, thats the Wii update out the way. I'll give you a heads up when pre-orders are on the table. Holiday news, we are working out exursions right now. Obvious ones are The sydney harbour bridge climb, blue mountains, Scuba diving, Rainforrests. But we're also looking into the penguins on philip island, the "neighbours" tour (where you meet neighbours actors!), and some stuff while we're in hong kong! We often get so carried away with australia panning we forget about hong kong!!

Ok, so the Video Blowout. Tom txt me to say he'd seen a great video by "ok go" of them on tread machines. It is good, but doesnt go anywhere. So i've stuck on 4 others i love!

"little computer people - Little computer people" is a great pixel-art video. I love the style and the cheesy song!
"Around the world - Daft Punk" which is pure genius by Michel Gondry. Who also did "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" which is a great movie, and video's for kylie, and the white stripes. Inspired!
"Days go by - Dirty Vegas" which is so cool! This was their only number one. It started as an accoustic song, but grew to this! The older breakdancer was the world champion and appeared in nike commercials. Yanno, back in the day!
"All i Need - Air" is a firm favourite. With the look of a documentary of young love. Great song too!

Wii!!! (Hugely Nerdy post!)

Wow! Ok, so first off, some of you will find this REALLY boring! But my god did i have a HUGE smile on my face when i heard about the US Wii (pronounced "we") conference today. Lets just say that in 2005 Sony wowed me with its conference on the PS3. And i mean i was salivating with the rest of the nerdy and geekish! But 2006 left me feeling flat. No new news, 3 controller options lost, many ports off the back lost, a price of £425 and now its not coming out til march 2007 in Europe. And that will no doubt be in short supply and we'll be 5 months behind the rest of the world!

Fast forward to today. Sure Europe's conference is tomorrow from 11am. But the American conference told me EVERYTHING really! Tomorrow we're likely to discover (if the rumours are true) that Wii will be available between November 24th to dec 2nd, and retail for between £150-£180. As for the other details revealed today? Watching the web browser in use, with the wii-mote pointing at the screen and the mouse goes where you point!!! Its incredible!

Well, that's it. The GF's Masters is over. She gets results in December. But we're obviously not allowed to stay in halls til then! so we moved out today. I've been living there since the rangers awards, and it is sad to see it go. It was basically our lil home. And next time we live like that will be when we move in together. And no-one knows how long that will be! So goodbye 745am wake ups. Hello 630am wake ups. Eugh. Hate the bus. NEED to get my licence sorted! Hoping to do a one week driving course to get my licence sorted, and get a cheap car. Still, we'll see.

Holiday plans are coming along nicely. After discovering Adelaide to Melbourne was 1000km, not 102km, we re-organised the flights at a grand cost of AUS$2!! So not bad! less than a quid! The Hong Kong hotel was booked out, but we think we've sorted the other one now. And we've booked into a 5 star for our last night. We'll be knackered and fancied being pampered just once before our 33 hour epic return journey! And that includes 24 hours worth of flights! an 9 hours waiting! So we're checked into the "Observatory" in Sydney. Including an 8 course meal and breakfast. It's got a great indoor pool, and views over the harbour. SO our last night will still capture the beauty of Sydney.

Discover the 2 cameras I'm torn between. DSC-T30 and DSC-T10. Both Sony T-Series, so slim like my current one. Both 7.2MP with anti-shake technology. The T30 has 420 shots per charge, and the T10 has 240. T30 has 3" screen, and T10 2.5". Other than that there's a £50 difference! I'll see what the Hong Kong price translates as, and get the T30 if i can. More shots is always an advantage when i plan to take around 1000 pics!! I already have 2 512Mb cards, and fancied a 2GB in hong kong, if the price is right! Also, i want whichever will fit in the "sports case". It's a case that keeps the sand out on the beach, and allows the camera to shoot pictures upto 3m underwater. Perfect for snorkeling the barrier reef! But not discovered a case for either yet! D'oh!

PS3 has been put back to march 07. This is annoying, but at least i can save up and still get one now!! The Wii is due to be released in November or possibly late October. Def getting one! On Friday they are announcing pricing and release info, so its been rumoured. Its also suggest the console will no longer come out end of October with the Sony console being delayed, and will hit Europe end of November. I was hoping to pick one up at duty free!! Still, they are suggesting a price of between £150-£180. WELL worth it!

Our Journey Through Australia. 4 days in Sydney. 3 days in Melbourne. 3 days in Cairns. And 1 last day in Sydney before we fly home. We spend around 57 hours on planes during our holiday! I can feel a sick day coming on when i get home!

Awards and Rewards!

So it was the rangers awards ceremony yesterday. Shiz took us to the mango lounge curry place in stockport. Nice food but no A/C! So was a lil hot, and a few of us i think were concealing lil sweat patches at times! Still, it was tasty, and after a few minutes trying to divide the bill, it was off to a pub in stockport. The whole top floor was free so we used that. Can't stick any pics on at the mo, but i will next weekend when i'm back from manchester. Awards were fun, and i got "Most Improved", fitness being the main cited facet i've improved on. Happy with my renewed fitness regime whilst i'm at the GF's. It's when she moves out next week that will be a test! However, not eating any rubbish or junk now. And we've booked our 2006 holiday now, so want to lose a bit of weight for that!

So, decided on saturday, and booked on monday a holiday to Australia! Yeah yeah, i know, John's there now, and minis been, but its brand new for me! Needed to go to Hong Kong anyway this year for residency card things. So we're flying out 2nd November to Sydney with a 4 day stopover in Hong Kong. £650 flights which is pretty good seeing as its Hong Kong we need to be, not Bangkok where many of them seem to land. Itinerary is looking like this so far:

November
2 - MAN - LHR, LHR - HKG.
3 - Arrive Hong Kong at 0755 local time.
7 - HKG - SYD arriving 9pm local time.
11 - Sydney flight to Melbourne.
14 - Melbourne flight to Cairns.
17 - Cairns flight to Sydney.
18 - SYD - HKG, HKG - LHR
19 - LHR - MAN.

We're just working out what to do now! So far we're hoping to do the Sydney bridge climb. go to the blue mountains. Scuba dive in cairns. Do the coastal drive in Melbourne.

Still planning most of it. Worked out hotels (cheapish ones! We're on holiday, not travelling!), all the internal flights are booked. Need to look at a car rental for a few days. And we've not even worked out what we're doing in Hong Kong yet! I know i need a new camera, and will get a suit or 2 tailored in Hong Kong. They're Uber cheap there!

Anyway, Off to watch the England match now. Will let y'all know whats happening when i get it all sorted! its less than 9 weeks away now! In the meantime read John's Blog. Sounds like he's having a whale of a time!

yeah.. Its August... The END of August.. You know what its like, you get a fad you follow it through for a while. And yeah.. Sorry..

Although, to be fair, you've not missed a lot! I've scored twice for the rangers, and we've still come 7th out of 8. My fitness went UP for the Manchester run... And then straight back down again!! Although I've been trying recently when I'm at the GF's to use the exercise bike and play badminton twice a week. We've had Dr Hollands 40th Bday. That was a good night! All over to Marple golf club, and getting steadily toasted! Got a NEW phone!!! A Sony Ericsson K800i. Its a 3.2MP cam phone with 1GB of memory on board the SMALLEST memory card I've ever seen! SO any pics on here are taken by this now, instead of my old 2MP W800i which has been added to my "mobile museum". I tend not to get rid of old technology! I like seeing how it progresses!

At work we've been told we're all being made redundant. Which, to be honest, is the best news I've had all year. Been needing a kick up the ass to leave that place anyway. And this way i take enough away with me to pay off my credit cards, put a bit away for savings (hopefully a small start to getting a place of our own), and also a holiday to Hong Kong. The GF has to go back this year so I'm def going for a few weeks. We can get cheapish flights through a friend of a friend. But i fancy a flight onwards. Maybe Tokyo, or Australia. We'll see. This does of course mean i have to wave bye bye to my PS3.. Its a sad day.. I'd booked 17th November off as well to get it. Still, that £425 will be better used on a once in a lifetime holiday. And i can get a PS3 next year when they come down in price and the next gen footy titles are out. Although if we time it right, i can get a Nintendo Wii from Hong Kong! And they were suggesting price of sub £100 over there!! Although i also want a new cam to replace this old Sony T3. The new T30 7.2MP with steady shot is out now. Or the W100 with 8MP and 1250 ISO for indoor/night shots. We'll see. If we go to Australia, I want to look into how cheap i can get a waterproof case for my camera, so we can go snorkel-ling with it. i think they're about £50. And sure, it'll only get used once. but man what pictures it would take!

Been house sitting all week while folks see bro and grandkids. Dad also now redundant. So he's looking into new career paths, and I'm looking on with interest. Maybe we'll go down the same path?! Off to the GF's tomorrow til 10th Sep when she leaves to live back home. So thatll be the weeks of hanging out gone and replaced with 2 day weekends. There's the rangers awards next week, so i need to come back to stockport on Thurs to play footy, get bus back to manc, to get bus back on fri to go to the mango lounge, and then bus back! Should be ok tho.

New year has fizzled out anyway. Me and the GF made up a 3 page report on Isle Of Man. But it was costing £115, so prob a bit expensive for people. And shiz came up with some hotel/hostels in the lakes. But to be honest i think we're gonna end up at a local pub! Getting more likely that I'll settle in with the GF and a few bottles of wine. Slob out for New Year!

I dont blog often now days, so this must REALLY REALLY be worth it! its a dude called Gary Dunne, who me GF and Shiz saw supporting the excellent Nizlopi. He records the loops and samples on a doo-hickey thing by his foot so you can hear a beat made on his guitar in the back. I think its brilliant! And V catchy! I'll keep an eye out if anyone wants to see him live!!

Dear god how time flies!!

Howdy! I didn't realise quite so much time had passed since my last post! Ah well. Been a busy bee. Was in training for the Manchester run for quite a while. But all that is over and done with now. Did the run in 59mins 38 seconds, which i was mainly happy with. Although a training run of 10km a few days earlier had netted me a time of 57:30. So i was probably a Lil miffed i couldn't match that, but uber happy i got under an hour! EVERYONE did well, especially my G/F who has never done anything like this before. she also managed a personal best time on the course! Which is superb! Between us we've raised close to £1300 for Cancer Research UK. I will stick a list of all those who happily donated to a good cause to see me run like a girl for an hour!

So, having spent a few weeks training, now I'm spending a few weeks NOT training at my GF's. We're doing mountains of things at the mo! Saw Da Vinci code last week. I felt it was like a 2 hour trailer. It helped that I'd read the book, but Ron Howard should have cut some stuff out entirely. Instead he threw in throw away lines that meant nothing to you unless you read the book. And yet cut out the second cryptex scene. Still, its an enjoyable romp if you want a more intelligent thriller this year. Watched National Treasure yesterday too. Not bad, and seeing as I'd read nothing to do with the film i enjoyed it! Although again lots of people won't enjoy it!!

Had the Rangers Awards on Friday. Went to a tapas place which I'm afraid to say was substandard. Don't get me wrong, the food was nice. But it took us over 100 minutes when the starter was just bread and dip, and the main courses were from a set menu. So i couldn't see the hold up?! Also, some people attacked food more viciously than others! So thank god not many eat fish cakes or squid! The awards themselves went well, although i got a feeling the appeal of the awards is waining this being the 5th. The awards went to mainly strikers again, which is about standard. Its hard for a defender to win unless they shiz it up and score goals! Alas, me and Nev shall remain unsung heroes at the back battling through matches with gusto! Against Slim Jims on Thursday we lost 5-4. Sure, a defensive mistake was the undoing for the 5th. Me and Nev getting mixed up with who we were marking. But if we could've just tucked away 2 more goals in 50 mins, we'd have been laughing! Ah well, This is the Rangers way!

Also, due to several unsightly discussions between me and several team mates, and numerous disagreements i think its best if i stay off the rangers forum for a while. After all, its not good for team morale if we're in fighting. So i wont be saying negative things during matches either. I'll just assume we're all intelligent enough to monitor our own games.

Tonight is Goo Goo dolls. Never seen them, and only had a few of their singles. But the latest album is OK. Listened to it 3 times today, then had the kooks on, and now Jose Gonzalez. A complete contrast!! Going tonight with the GF, Pie, Nev, Mini and Charlotte. So its another gathering!

Thursday I'm missing Rangers as its my GF and mine's 6 year anniversary, so off for a posh meal to celebrate. Also have the day off work. Saturday we're off to see England Vs Jamaica at Old Trafford with Pie and his parents. And next Saturday its mark stock and the beginning of England's World Cup campaign. Dear god i hope we do well this year. God, if you can hear us Rangers, we'll build several churches in your honour if we win the world cup!! That or make a nice donation to charity!!

Happy St George's day! Well, that's what id love to say one year with a big party and all. Instead i get the more fun, albeit less patriotic task of wishing the GF a happy bday! She's in good company tho sharing her bday with William Shakespeare. Also of note are 1967 when Vladimir Komarov becomes the first person to die in space, and 1968 when the first decimal coins appear in the UK.

So I got her some nice gifts to open this morning, and its straight into revision for her! She has exams all next week. Then there's the tentative possibility of going for a weekend in London next week. If we can stay at her Bro's that will really save some money! Have you seen how expensive 3 nights in London cost?! So we'd prob visit my Nan and grandad then. Not seen her since her operation. Although i hear she's all clear of the cancer now. Probably do some touristy things if the weathers nice. visit the Diana memorial. Maybe Buckingham palace. Go out drinking in the evenings. Catch up with friends down there.

Rangers on Thursday just gone, and we notched up a win! My first in 17 matches. a narrow 1 goal victory. It was nice to get a win. But i was disappointed not to score. And the amount of shots we wasted! Still, we got the win under our belts, that's the main thing!

Booked tickets to see the "Goo Goo Dolls" on 29th may. Bank holiday Monday. Off with my GF, Pie, Mini, Charlotte and Nev. Should be entertaining!

Oh, went shopping yesterday to get pressies for GF's bday, and man was town packed! Liverpool Vs Chelsea at old trafford. Still shops were relatively quiet. So got her shopping done and my own! treated myself to a new hoodie, some pants for running in, and 2 tee's. Well, you have to treat yourself to clothes now and again. Last t-shirts i got were at Xmas!

Right off to spend day with GF in between her revision. Think i have GTA:PSP with me. And after storming the "da vinci" code book last weekend, think its time to rest my brain with mindless violence!

OH, DON'T forget Sharpe is on tonight. Channel 3. Record it or anything! its 2 part, second part tomorrow while we're at the pub. Doh! Catch you there!

So, its the weekend! how time flies! I hadn't noticed how long it had been since my last entry! I didn't spot that john had posted the same video as me! whoops! Still, if you click round the site you can watch the last 6 minutes of United's Champions League victory in 1999. Brought a nice tear to the eye!

Anyway, Rangers on Thurs. We did play better. I had a reasonable game. Setting up about 4 of our 6 goals! Piggy's laces came undone for the 3 match in a row! We had a hunt for Velcro football shoes. But alas they're not available yet! So my 17th consecutive game without a win. Friday consisted of a LOOOONG lie in at home. Then ironing my stuff and waiting for 30 Min's at a bus stop where no bus was to stop!! Being a bank holiday and all! Luckily i got a train! So spending the weekend catching up my reading of "the da vinci code". Should get it read before the film is out!

And today going for another run. Then its doctor who on at 7:15, and a small night out in Manchester. A quietish weekend! Its the GF's bday next weekend, so could do with saving some cash for that!!

So a sport related blog entry today!

First off Bramhall Rangers. After crashing to my 16th consecutive defeat as a rangers player (i seem to have missed "all" the wins!) I was rather depressed by Thursday nights display. Suffice to say i took my shirt off, through it to the ground, walked off to stretch off in disgust. Piggy tried to make some rubbish "i think we played OK" comment which i snapped at. And then lost my temper with him in the car on the way home. It's the first time in forever that mini has lost his temper on the pitch, that i have not bothered sprinting back for a defensive move, and that we haven't talked about the match afterwards. We all just stood around silent and went home. Tho piggy once again fails to notice the world around him and starts to talk about it. I understand its his right to mention the game, but he could see i was pissed off and could've waited til i got out the car. Ah well, I need to apologise to him anyway. I didn't mean to snap, but i was hugely disappointed by my own performance. I cant fix everyone else's numerous mistakes. But i can fix mine. I hate all the gentle "you played really well for 5 minutes today, take that into the next match." Instead of "damn we played shit, here is a LONG list of problems. get it sorted". Not sure Alex Ferguson got the results he gets without the "hair-dryer" bollocking!

Talking of United its Man Utd Vs Arsenal tomorrow. Doubt I'll go down the pub to watch it, and will listen on my radio instead whilst the GF works on her uni work. We booked tickets to see England Vs Jamaica on 3rd June too this year at Old Trafford. Ended up 3 seats away from john! crazy! Small world! And I'm sure we can bunch up if we want!

Other sport matters, The John Smith Grand National today! A day i relish in betting! So last night loaded £40 into my paddy power account and started clicking horses! Granted £10 was for a work colleague. He wanted £5 on Hedgehunter to win, and £2.50 Each way on Jack High. His band is called jack! I put £2 Each Way on Hedgehunter, Clan Royal, NumberSixValverde, Nil Desperandum, Garvivonnian and a rank 200-1 outside Whispered Secret.

So, Jack High fell, Garvivonnian fell, and Whispered Secret fell! Only left me with 4 horses and My colleague was counting on Hedgehunter coming first! But the race finished as this:
1st NumberSixValverde
2nd Hedgehunter
3rd Clan Royal
4th Nil Desperandum.

So my colleague got nothing and i got £62.25! Heh heh! If you're not sure i'll quickly explain. Each way betting means you bet on that horse both winning 1st AND on him coming in a top 4 place. So Nil Desperandum was 10-1. I put £2 down. Which means you get charged £4. £2 on him coming first and £2 on a placement. So when he wins i get £2 at 10-1 which is £20, PLUS quarter odds on a placement so £2 at 5-2 = £5, plus your original stake £4. £29 for a £4 bet. not bad.

Anyway, i know that will bore most of you! In relation to Antons comment on religion and such, I am running for a Cancer Charity at www.justgiving.com/rascle because my gran has had cancer this year. I think I've raised almost £200 at work. So well on track for my £500 target. As for religion i did watch Morgan Spurlock's 30 days this week. He's the guy that made "supersize me". It was really good. Putting a christian guy with an American Muslim family. I learnt alot about the Muslim faith. But as with all faiths they are strict and often people only choose the bits they want! Practically no faith allows alcohol! As Reverend Lovejoy in the Simpson's says, "Have you ever actually read this thing (referring to the bible)? Technically we're not allowed to go to the bathroom..

Ah well, its been a long blog entry today so will leave you all be. At the GF's for most of this week. But not sure about next weekend. There's a possibility of being in Nottingham for the horses. But we'll see! Have a fun weekend, and sponser me!

Hello. Yes i have been absent from my blog for quite a while now. Lets just say life threw me a few curve balls and I'm not always good at handling that! So locking doors seems like a good plan when in reality it is not. I am happy tho that life has gained a certain note of normality tho. And i shall talk no more of it.

So what HAS Rascle been up to? I guess no-one wants to read a total itinerary! Suffice to say i have done stuff. Seen Nizlopi with GF and Shiz. Practically THE best concert I've ever been to. We WERE the front row. The lead singer Luke even asked me for the time. Was superb, and i cant wait to see them again! The warm up guy Gary Dunne was also great! you should DEF check him out! Also saw Jason Mraz supporting James Blunt. Both were superb! Even met an old mate there Bonnie! We went out for like a week 7 years ago but I'd never class her as an ex really. Jason Mraz was great. Wanted to see him for ages, and James Blunt was much better than i expected! Superb live, great songs, a few covers, some older songs from an EP, was just great! GF took me for my Bday. That and she got me a meal at Establishment in Manchester. Posh restaurant, and great food. Thankfully cheaper than Valentines day meal. That was uber pricey! But THE best fillet steak ever!

So as you can imagine, CD pile is huge now! And Markstock will have a lot of new music this year! After all it ends up as audio wallpaper, so i like shoving in songs that people haven't heard as on occasion they can surprise people! I quite like We Are Scientists at the mo. The Gossip is an American woman singing over good bass lines. Corinne Bailey Rae is awesome as chill out. Jose Gonzalez will bring you down in an instant, but if you're in the mood, its beautiful!

Anyway, scored my first rangers goal in a while the other day. from kick off ball was passed back to me, i looked up and hit it from maybe 30 yards with it staying low and tucking under the keeper into the bottom left corner of the net. I guess he saw it late, and it seemed to take an age to get there! I was so shocked it went in! I just stood aghast with my hands in the hair as my team mates came and hugged me! I was smug after that i guess! Was a shock!

Jogging is so so. Not going as far as mini. Think about 3.2km so far. And its certainly not fast. Not as fast as others. I'll just be happy to complete the distance. Thank you to those that have already sponsored me, but i still need more! lets hit that £500 target! Will whizz the collection round work next week. Think i should be able to easily raise £100 there. Manchester Run

Ok, i have a LOAD of pics to post up when i get home! currently enjoying a week off at the GF's in Manchester. Went to see Nizlopi a few weeks ago, and proved to be one of the best concerts I've EVER been to! Me , GF and Shiz. We stood right at the front! But I'll post pics up next week when I'm home. As i say off for the week over here. My GF was trying to book Jason Mraz tickets for me for my bday. But alas he was sold out. However being the smart girl she is she hunted on EBay and discovered that Jason Mraz is supporting James Blunt this Wednesday! So tickets arrived today, and off we go! Should be good. John didn't really say much about him when he went, so i hope to write a glowing report! Tho he is said to be a bit military in his timing of songs! So we'll see!

Anywho, as the title suggests, and as many people have written me off! I can confirm that i AM indeed running the Manchester run in may. I am currently in week 4 of my training and have been running about 3-4 times a week. I'm satisfied with my progress so far, but we'll see! Anyway, the reason I'm posting is I NEED MONEY!!! Singing along to a live band doing covers of loads of songs! then a disco afterwards! Pricey drinks, but great times, great music, and great company!

Off to eat now. All this running gives me a bigger appetite! but I'm somehow losing weight! Crazy! Tho not eating chocolate MUST be helping! he he!

So, watched the "fellowship of the ring" last night. Episode 1 of the trilogy. In all the extended editions take up about 654mins of your hard earned weekend! Tho it has got loads more in, esp funny parts!

Heh heh, funny hungry hobbits! Anyway, GF has been doing work, and i just had a another run. That's number 2.. Still had a loooong walk yesterday, so that helps too. And aside from half a tub of ben and jerry's to myself last night, been eating reasonably healthy! Its Prawns and salad with cold pasta for lunch.

Anyway, off to go eat, and watch the remaining 7 hours of LoTR!!! Then there's the Lost finale repeat tonight. The GF didn't see it mid week, and I'm really interested to watch it again!

Ok, Just swiftly! At the GF's place now. Didnt manage to go for a run, tho got in a long walk. So will get a run in tomorrow. Did eat fish for dinner tho! with stirfry. Think the whole meal was 350 calories!!! Woah! Tuna steaks. And was nicer than i imagined it would be!

Just seen a SUPERB advert for the Honda Civic too! With a choir making the sound of the new car in various conditions. Excellent!

And on the subject of sound, here's a band that matt at work is the acoustic guitarist of! They're called "Jack". His mate Cody is singing on the track, tho its not got a backing track on it yet. I was actually quietly impressed by it!

Ok, mad rush before work! So quick entry! sorry there's been no blog entries! Been busy! Weekend at GF's last week after a HEAVY xmas party. Man i was pissed! hungover on the sat! Anyway, quiet week, went for a jog on tuesday. Felt it last 3 days!!! Then Bro has been up last 2 days. Had curry and watched "lock, stock, and 2 smoking barrels" with him yesterday.

And now i'm legging it off to the GF's for the weekend again! she's finished her exams, so we can chill all weekend now. Got the Lord of The Rings:Extended edition boxset in my bag. It'll e epic, but lets see if we can make it!!!

Oh, and Lost was brilliant! Season finale leaving you wanton for more! And thank you channel 4 for showing a preview advert for season 2! Looks incredible again! Desperate housewives on wednesday! Channel 4 get all the good programs!!

New Year 2005.

As always, with expectations come disappointment. But alas, its what we make of it that counts! the weather was cold, windy and wet in Cork. But it was great walking round a beautiful city with my GF. The place reminded us a lot of Florence. So far as the styling went anyway. The food alas was not up to Florence standards! One restaurant getting "medium rare fillet steak" wrong twice, turning firstly into a medium fillet (did I ASK for medium?!), and then returning with a sirloin. Man i wish i had the fillet cooked as i wanted. The meat tasted good, so would have been nice with a bit of blood!

Still we went to blarney to see the blarney stone. We all kissed it. That was before a barman told us locals sneak up to piss on it. But who knows. So first night was New Years eve. firstly, half a portion of chips, then a 15 minute walk in the rain in all my best clothes. Then 3 pints in a pub. Left at 1am, and was relieved to see a subway open! Great chicken and bacon sandwich with BBQ sauce! Basically had been drinking all 30th evening at GF's house. got 2 hours sleep, then straight up for a flight to cork! Managed to get 2 more hours in the afternoon, but was running low on food and sleep! So nice subway sandwich, Long chat with the GF, and then a nice 9 hours sleep. We'd made a big song and dance about taking rangers tops, but everyone seemed too pissed to care on Sunday. an hour out at a restaurant, and then everyone split up. A shame for Jaya who had a shirt specially made up for the event. Still, the GF and me went walking around and ended up shopping! (in a shop that we later discovered shiz had barfed outside of. That's what 11 pints of Guinness will do to you!). there was a sale on and i got 50% off a nice pair of armani jeans! Got back at about 445 and discovered the others had been sat in a room.

So, out to restaurant (bully's) for poor steak but nice dessert at 7. Lets just say for the price of the meal it wasn't up to standard. Had the meal been cheaper I would've have been happier with the food! Then me, GF, Mark and Jaya went off to the cinema to watch "The family stone". Was really funny. And the first time mark had listened to my booming laugh in the close confines of a cinema! Then we had a nice walk back together to pack. Chatted with GF again til about 2am. Then up at 6am for flight home!

And finally today I've cracked a quarter of the enamel off a tooth at the back of my mouth! So that'll be fun with my phobia of dentists and needles. Can see a hospital visit coming on. Toe, Back, and now this! Think its time to throw in the old lifestyle! Could Rascle be retiring from rangers like Big Rick recently did?! Anyway, so spent most of the day tired, watching layer cake and lock, stock, & 2 smoking barrels.

So, Xmas 2005 has been and yes, indeed gone. away for another 360 days or so! So how did it go? Well, firstly a quiet Friday night after an V busy day at work! No point going out when Saturday was gonna be so wild! So, Saturday came, and it was down the pub for 1pm. Dove into a chicken lunch, was HUNGRY! Had 5 pints, then off to Belch's to watch TV with his Freesat (read: BBC and nothing else via satellite). Had Chinese takeaway, then back down the pub for another couple of pints before GF turned up at 9 to take me to hers. Pub was like being back at school! Lots of old school mates there!

Anyway, shot back to my house, picked up stuff and presents, and then dove over to the GF's in her car. was FOGGY! could hardly see more than 50 foot in front. So drove carefully. At hers i slept well, then woke up sans hangover, but dying for piss! Stumbled over "santa's" presents. He'd gotten me a scarf and a lil remote control car. Then downstairs to the Xmas tree, where EVERYTHING was piled up! I had a few presents off mum. The GF had bought me a cool Paul Smith shirt, and a funky Nooka watch. Which is binary. Her mum bought me a cool cashmere jumper. So, then onto the lobster, one of which i named shiz. He was tasty. That is having spent 30 minutes teasing him by telling him he was gonna fry! Somehow its easier to do when you name them shiz, piggy, and colonel gaddafi! };oP Follow dinner with spider man 2 and 4 episodes of CSI Miami, and that takes you to gone 2am!

So, boxing day was off to the sales at traff centre! Was packed! Tho seen it worse! Got myself 8 t-shirts, some hoodies etc. And Jurassic park and layer cake box sets! Spent about £200 all in all!
Then off to gf's grans to eat dinner and watch them all play poker.

Today? Back to boring work! And boy was it busy! But managed to get all the lads Euro's sorted. Belly being the "always one" who asked today for them! Luckily, i kinda thought he would, so ordered plenty in! And tonight, its LOST and united match.

Plans for the week? I'm at GF's on Friday for poker night and stuff. Then off to CORK at 4am on sat morning! So, this is liable to be my last blog of the year! Enjoy the pics, I hope you all have a lovely new year!

So, whats it like seeing one of the finest bands in the world for a third time live? Just like seeing them for the first time! Superb!! First time i saw them was at V. And that was impressive! Just after the "rush of blood to the head" album was released. It was classed as the fifth best concert of that year to have been at. Absolutely classic! Next came Live 8. They only got to sing a few songs there, but were awesome! I Love the band! Lyrics are NEVER gonna make a top 100 list, but damn the rifts are good, and Chris plays with the crowd well!

They played new and old song. Which is great to see! Too many bands sit there trying to push their new album in your face, even though you've probably already bought it if you've paid £37 a ticket to see them! So Yellow, Politik, God put a smile on your face, The scientist, Clocks, Shiver, and Warning sign all made appearances alongside newer songs such as Talk, Speed of sound, and Fix you!

So, lets get straight on with the pics!

Yup, That's the thing about blogs. Why write when you have nothing to say!

Been quiet on the talking front. Yes, work has been HELL. Busier than for a long time. Applied for a job elsewhere, but found out the daughter of the boss at that place has applied too. So wont get that then! Snowed not long back. Which was fun. Not played for rangers since first game of season. Had back trouble. Then knee trouble. Now toe trouble. Wish I'd taken pic when I'd gone to doctors. It was HUGE and V red. So having to "milk" the toe at the mo. Squeeze out any nasty stuff then salt bath it. Oh joy. The swelling has gone down now, but the skin hasn't shrunk back yet! So V saggy toe.

Xmas is upon us in 10 sleeps. FINALLY got the GF's Xmas pressie sorted today. So that's mum, dad, GF, GF's mum, GF's dad, and bro's 3 kids sorted. Just need to get nan and grandad something, and get something for a quid for my secret Santa thing.

Mon 19th - Coldplay with GF, mum and dad. It's part of their Xmas pressies! Cost me £147 for the 4 of us!!

Sat 24th - Pub from 12. GF prob coming at 9 to sit with us a while, then cart me back to hers. Also her mothers Bday.
Sun 25th - XMAS DAY at GF's. First time I'll have spent Xmas away from my family. SO plenty of Chinese things to get up to!
Mon 26th - SALES! Yup, hoping to DIVE into traff centre early, get some good deals. Then back to Liverpool and off to GF's grans house to meet all the family. This calls for PSP match ups with the kids there!
Wed 28th - Back to work. Booo..
Fri 30th - Day off work. Pack and stuff really. Get lots of sleep!
Sat 31st - Flying to cork at 7am. Fireworks display to mark their close of "2005 European city of culture" at 8pm. THANKFULLY got the double room for me and GF. ANYWHERE out of earshot of Pie's snoring is a bonus!
Jan 1st - NEW YEARS DAY! Meal booked for the 11 of us in cork.
Mon 2nd - Fly back to UK.
Tue 3rd - Back to work.
Fri 6th - XMAS do at work. Ours is always after busy Xmas period.
Wed 18th - Nizlopi concert in Manchester with GF and Shiz. JCB song for Xmas no.1?

And longer term. Rangers awards on Fri 17th Feb if tradition holds true. Going away 18th for 7 days hopefully with GF, as its her half term! And Rascle will need a holiday!

No doubt I'll post again after tomorrow night. Think its mini and shiz. Possibility of Piggy. Hoping we can all be civil. Tho it will be a nice night. intimate and chatty! *ahem*

Well, not much to report! Last week sailed by. Busy at work. Crap as always! Tho a mate has given me a heads up on a job he thinks i can easily do. So will pop a CV off to them on Monday when i get home. Thursday we lost 10-0 at footy. But only because no-one could play! Everyone was crocked bar 4. So have a look at the rangers site to see who! Makes for interesting reading!

Went Xmas shopping with GF yesterday. Was SHATTERED afterwards! Went out at 1 to Traff centre, and got back at 9! And i only bought some hair wax!! (Fishstyle too! Very nice, but bloody pricey!) Went to the Exchange bar and grill in the orient on 1st floor. Wasn't bad. Had an "uncle sam" burger.. What does this exotic dish contain? Well, take the bap, open it, and place your burger on the bottom half. Then add a piece of cooked bacon, not forgetting tomato, lettuce, and gherkin. Then add peanut butter and a large dollop of strawberry jam... It's true! Look!:

Was tasty as! But very odd!!! Anyway, watched "road to perdition" yesterday. Was a slow film, but still pretty good. Not sure what we'll watch tonight. Nothing on telly bar "top gear". So might watch "Battle Royale". Its a Japanese film i brought with me.

Hello! Long time no blog!

Firstly, i shall tip my hat to piggy. If what he wrote is true, then well done for him swallowing his pride. Its a big thing to do. And there's always next season. I'm glad to he enjoyed the awards, and thought i'd put together a good show/speech! And glad to hear he's wearing the magical wristband! only the chosen special few have them! So glad he's honouring it!

So, whats Rascle been upto? Not much to be fair! Everything and nothing! Went to GF's at the weekend! was cool! Spent the whole time eating crap tho! Hehe! was a lazy chilled weekend. GREAT Chicken Marinara sandwich on saturday after work! yeah, work! on a saturday! Only had to be in an hour. But was ok as i have GTA to play! hehe. Then went out to pizza hut for dinner on saturday night. was FREEZING! So cold here at the mo! and gonna get worse at the weekend!

Going to GF's for xmas. Lobster and fish instead of a turkey! But will be cool having an xmas that doesnt include sitting around listening to nan and grandad getting steadily drunk!

Rangers awards!

So, Friday was rangers awards day! Had been 14 weeks in the making, having won the Anton Lowe Memorial Award way back in the heady days of august! And how soon i had to hand back that trophy! Alas, it went to a good home! I will post a full report on the rangers blog when mini gets me the pics. As that is the final task of my award!

So, how did it all go? Well, we went to the jon millington in cheadle for steak first. Was gorgeous! Alas, no fillet steak, and it wasnt medium rare as i'd asked! but still V nice!

The hot chocolate muffin desert was delightful!

Anyway, onto the cheadle hulme in cheadle hulme for the awards. Found a secluded corner. I requested a toast for the fallen in wars as it was indeed november the 11th. Everyone duely and rightly did so. Then onto the awards. I gave out the custom LIMITED EDITION (christ, they ALL went so quickly!) Bramhall Rangers 2006 silicone wristbands. Superb really. well received by most people. Then i handed out the awards. As i said, will post all those on the rangers blog! But i gave the anton lowe award to belch! For always using his testicles to control the ball!

But alas theres always one that feels left out. Read Piggy's blog. He's miffed because, despite the fact he's not our best player, he didnt win best player. What a moron. And then waffles on. But i've left a comment there. wont waste more space on here talking about it!

So, BEST england match EVER on saturday! We won 3-2 against argentina!! Ok, its only a friendly! But still, great match! Esp coming from 2-1 down!!

Then Stockport County today. That was ok. But bloody cold! and it was a 1-1 draw. So not a bad experience. Tho not one i'd revel in doing again!

I am of course referring to quickly reading this short entry on the blog. Although there's a few of you out there i'm sure would be fun to have quick ones with.. };oP

Anyway, not alot happening. Pub monday, Lent Belly Doom 3, and Pie south park series 4.. must remember i lent these!! Showed off GTA:LCS on the PSP. Tuesday went to GF's, and stayed as its SOOO much easier getting to work from here when i dont get a lift in! Had to share a taxi with a lovely lady called rachel on tuesday, as i got a taxi to GF's as it was raining! She lives, it turns out, right near the place in marple where we saw the fireworks! Crazy!

Anyway, todays wednesday. Staying at GF's again. Watching Lost tonight. Just read email. I got 2 more vote forms through. Despite telling everyone tuesday was the last day for entries! Tho they dont change the awards much. So not important if i choose to keep them in. We'll see.

First game of the next season tomorrow, and i NEED to get all this stuff printed up for the awards on friday. Busy busy!!

Bonfire night and Piggy...

So, bonfire night. Was OK. Went to Marple. walked through the darkest woods in the world to get to the display! Spent an hour there by the huge bonfire. listening to other people being loud on mobiles, smelling people smoke pot, and watching "Bramhall Rangers" sperm fireworks.. see here.

And then there's this vid here. If you listen through to about 32 seconds, the fireworks stop and you can hear piggy going on about my GF and Jaya, Marks GF. This was the beginning of him being a pratt. And here's where he became the tosser of the night:

We were sat in a pub and were talking about the Famed Anton Lowe memorial award for next weeks awards. I said that although there were 11 players to choose from (i cant vote for myself!) I wouldn't be giving it to piggy this year. And this wound him up no end. Whinging on about it not being a democratic election (is this a 5-a-side award, or a free vote in Zimbabwe?!), and how i shouldn't tell him that. So i tried to shut him up by stating that a) he hasn't done anything to warrant winning it anyway, (after all, i won it because of poor football control!), and B) because when you win it, you have to organise the next awards. And he has NEVER organised ANYTHING.. Nothing for Amsterdam. Nothing for Portugal. Nothing for new year in cork. He doesn't even look online for suggestions. He's an idiot. pure and simple. its been a while since i last piggy bashed, but he stole 30 minutes of my evening last night arguing about why its not fair him not winning the award. I mean, he only wants to win it so he can give a speech.. THEY ARE CRAPPY 5-A-SIDE AWARDS!!! This is not an Oscar ceremony!!! God he irritates me sometimes. He already knows he's winning the golden boot. if he wants a crappy speech he can give it then.

My favourite bit was when he said "you can think it, but you shouldn't say it. Its not fair to let other people know." Eugh, is it fair that we have to hear his views on homosexuals, masturbation, wanting a naked Bramhall Rangers calendar, race, sexism, wooden satellites, how i shouldn't have children with my GF because she's not white. He is such a stupid guy its untrue. And god knows I've given him chances to prove he's not stupid. But somehow he just keeps lowering himself again and again. I mean for gods sake! the guy wore a big red t-shirt to belch's engagement meal, and ONLY brought £6!!! And his rent at home with his parents is only £80 cheaper than Shiz's mortgage.. For gods sake man, THEY WANT YOU TO MOVE OUT!! Now, would YOU let a guy like that plan your next meal out? I don't think so! Raaaa!!!!

Ok, so that's my aggression out! And onto today. Tidying my room mainly. United match is on shortly (gonna get beat badly off Chelsea i feel!), and played a bit more on GTA:LCS. SO had to charge battery!! Lets hope piggy actually responds to this by defending himself on his blog for a change. After all piggy. It wasn't a personal attack on you! It was the fact you cant organise an orgy in a brothel! Prove yourself in the next 14 weeks, and maybe someone else will give you the award!!
Oooh, also got the prodigy album "their law-the singles" and the best of blink 182. Makes for good listening actually!

Another weekend!

So, i posted a few pics from my days off below. They were nice and relaxing, as days off should be! did nothing but eat out really, tho somehow lost weight!! Will never figure that one out! Anyway, some fetching pics of shiz with his beard. which is nice.

Footy on Thursday was somewhat disappointing. we drew 4-4 with canaries. I gotta say, we should really be winning these. We did well at the back conceding only 4 goals in 50 Min's. But its bad that we could and should have made more chances for our strikers. But alas, poor balls from everyone resulted in intercepted passes. Everyone seems to think piggy played the best game of his life. I have to say he is better, but by no means is he yet our best player. that honour still staying squarely with our 2 keepers belly and mini. who keep us in a match much better than any striker we have, apart from mini.. who can score when he plays striker.. Anyway, I'm just reminded of piggy losing the ball easily, and me having to win the ball off the attacker, do a cruyff turn, and send the ball perfectly weighted (?!) down the line for piggy whilst screaming "THATS how you line a ball piggy". I very rarely shout at the guy. But i figured what the hell, its the last match, and he NEEDS to learn! Not least the fact we had 5 kick offs and he tried a straight shot on at least 3 of those. despite everyone telling him he cant, as his long shot aim is CRAP!

ANYWAY! That's my 5 cents on the match. Season over. second from bottom. And you cant help but wonder, seeing as we were worse at striking than last week, whether the return of shiz or mark hindered us somewhat? But that's just a thought! Onwards to next season now! which starts Thursday. Swiftly followed by the awards meal. I've had 5 forms back from about 11 now. surprising results really so far. Cant understand some peoples choice, as they haven't listed reasons! But its all entertainment i suppose!

Anyway, Bonfire night tonight. Off to Marple with pie, piggy, mark and anton. See how they do it Marple style! Then onto a pub after i assume. Off to play GTA:LCS til then! the new PSP GTA game. Oh man its good playing gta anywhere! Might take it pub tonight!! };o)

Sorry people! No pictures today! at the GF's house, so no data cable!

So far this weekend we went to a Chinese party on Friday. That was scary! Everyone speaking mandarin! And non stop food piling out of the kitchen! Had fungus too! not mushrooms, but actual fungus! V salty, but quite nice! Was chatting to this dutch girl. so that was fun! And at one point this Chinese girl was talking about an incident in china where some students got expelled for secretly filming a teacher having sex with a pupil. And the other Chinese people told her off! Saying it would give us a bad impression of china! Communism in action huh?! Still, didn't mention the great firewall of china, human rights abuse, poor living standards... }:o)

Anyway, Saturday we chilled in all day. I got lunch, (sandwiches, crisps and a muffin), and some magazines and we just chilled. Then went to choices restaurant in castle quay for the evening. Was really nice. at the back of the key103 building! I had tomato bread with goats cheese and a raspberry coulis. Followed by a medium rare(after 2nd attempt!) sirloin steak with blue cheese and potato off cut things. And finished with a white chocolate cheesecake with bitter chocolate sauce! Tasty! Tho going to have to go on a long walk to burn it all off!!!

Anyway, OBVIOUSLY not going to the pub on Monday, as i have 3 days off. Hoping to skip past security continuously so i can evade signing in the visitors book! Watching Austin Powers tonight. Got a msg from home saying the Rangers branded gear has turned up! so when i go home on Wednesday night, i shall have a look at it! tho you cant see it til the rangers awards! Hehe!

Well, have fun people! will prob update again on Wednesday! Off to meet Shiz tomorrow for an all you can eat buffet at some Chinese place him and john witter on about!

So, we lost 15-7. But Rascle scored another GREAT goal! Heh-heh! So, lets see how i quadrupled last seasons tally of goals!

#1 Vs TNC. The ball is put through down the right wing from defence. I hold back the player with my left arm, and keep my eye on the ball. Swinging as it passes next to me, i follow through with my shot, keeping it low, and scoring in the bottom right corner under the leaping keeper! Great first time shot!

#2 Vs White Russians. John is on the ball on the right wing. I ghost onto the left wing and I'm totally unmarked. I call for the ball, and control the fast paced cross. I look up and take one touch of the ball to set myself up, before curling a great shot in off the far post beating the keeper at full stretch! I was the only other player other than Lifey to score in this!

#3 Vs Northern Canaries. I remember very little of this one! I just remember the ball bobbled through a lot of bodies and ended up at my feet. The ball was a little behind me, but managed to scoop the ball up and out from under me to wrong foot the keeper.

#4 Vs White Russians. Nev bobbles the ball to me. I control it into my path with a move I've been practising using the side of my foot. I sprint with the ball taking 2 touches. It looks like I've over run it and the keeper advances to the edge of his box. I gain the extra yard and as he dives low, i chip it sweetly over him! My greatest ever goal surely! Made it for myself, and finished well!

So, lets hope everyone remembers this for the rangers awards! Most improved and goal of the season please gentlemen. That would be dandy! heh heh!

So, Athlete were great! hitting all their new songs like Wires, Changes, Half light (the song at the beginning of the rangers montage!), tourist. twenty four hours. And the old classics! El Salvador, Westside, Beautiful, and you got the style. They sang well, support was Gemma Hayes who was really good too! And thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Below are the pics!

Rascle's Weekend With Belly!

So, big weekend out for the lads really! Firstly Thursdays result for rangers was a 5-1 loss. Piggy getting the only goal. This makes our most prolific goalscorers goal tally this season at 12.. Ahem..

Anyway, Friday up at 630 for work unfortunately! Horribly hot day at work! and BUSY!!! How they expect me to do international payments AND be chief cashier I'll never know! we eventually managed it this week. But busier weeks will fall apart!

So, after work, went over the GF's uni halls. Had quick shower, and we went out to meet pie at wetherspoons. He was with a work colleague called Andrew. He was plain weird at times! Anyway, mini joined the 4 of us, and we went on to the fab cafe! A wicked bar as always! After a swift one there, we rattled off to another wetherspoons to meet up with everyone else. After more than a few drinks we went off to another pub! It was Anton's bday on Wednesday, hence the drinking, so he, mark, and piggy turned up. At which point we discovered Piggy's coat was originally bought in 1995!!! Woah! Anyway, me and GF left at about midnight, and stumbled home via a burger bar! The lads got home at 2am! ouch!

So, Saturday came, and i woke up at 8am in a pool of my own sweat! forgot to open the windows at uni halls, and heating was on! Was roasting!!! had a quick shower, and legged it to work to meet an engineer who was fixing the servers. Except he was nearly an hour late, and we didn't finish til nearly 1!!! Boo! Still, get a full days pay for it. Which will be nice!

Then Saturday night! Belch's and Amy's engagement meal! Dove round his, looking all smart. Had a glass of bubbly, then moved onto the shires to meet Dr H and his missus Jane. It was happy hour, which was lucky! think Dr H had 4 pints in 45 mins!! Then a swift walk to our fave Indian restaurant! 12 people in total! mini, Charlotte, Shiz, Me, GF, belch, Amy, Pie, Justin, Dr H, Jane, and Piggy! Who stole the show by wearing a sports top. And ONLY bringing £6.. We all thought he was joking at first. SURELY no-one can be THAT stupid?! Alas, we decided he has a pure lack of common sense!

Aside from that, meal was great. Mini made a toast to the happy couple, i assume pie was too shy/too drunk to propose a toast! The great staff at the Indian gave us free champagne too. and an Irish cream. I got a few pics, but pie's big fat head ruined belch's pic! And couldn't get the camera ready in time to take a pic of Dr H downing the rest of the free champagne straight from the bottle! Man that guy can drink! We rounded the night off by going to the ladybrook. All fun and games, of which i surely cant list all of here! highlights were toilet trips that resulted in losing your chair! Matt falling off the back of the sofa, Mark getting lifted up and dropped on the floor by me, getting 6 people on a sofa made for 3, stealing pie's shoe, and then watching him struggle with the laces! (video below). And finally Belch and Amy looking like a perfect couple as they have done since they ever met. It was good having a laugh with friends and getting everyone there. But lets not forget why we went! Well done Mr Belch!!

So, didn't film the rangers tonight. So that saved the issue of doing an opta index. Basically there was some stuff that i had to do that was non negotiable! So i did that, then watched an episode of Simpson's from the series 6 DVD set i got. Back isn't doing too well. Felt OK, and i was tempted to play if truth be told. But Jeanette (work colleague) had left her lights on all day on the car. so helped push start it. and back felt rough after that! Not sure what I've done to it!

Anyway, got a few responses to emails. Jason Mraz, the pie's will listen to the CD but might be tempted. Jerry Springer the opera, 6 people inc me and my GF interested! Wow!! And they were even interested in the more pricey £15 seats! Would make a great night to have a few drinks and then watch that! The rangers Xmas meal seems to have been well received! And the awards so far everyone is going that has replied. Except for Anton! Who said he'll skip the meal, but be at the pub?!

So, bed shortly, up at 630 so i can shower and leave early to get bus. off to GF's tomorrow night. Saturday at work. Then back to GF's briefly before we get a bus to stockport/bramhall to see belch and Amy for a celebration curry (rangers shirts still lads? Or smart attire for the occasion?). then Sunday back to GF's to stay overnight, before walking to work on Monday. Then Tuesday got the Athlete concert! Busy Busy!

Have a good weekend anyway ladies and gents of the public. No word on the rangers score. been 20 minutes, and Pie's still not txt back. Booo...

Finally, blog up to date! Woohoo! how easily it can slip behind!! Still, its all ok now. Not much to note. Will get bollocking from all my mates tomorrow i feel. sent 4 emails re: Jerry Springer opera, Jason Mraz concert, rangers awards, and rangers xmas meal! So loads for people to read over the coming days!

Filming the rangers tomorrow. Tho cant get the rascle opta index sorted for a good few days! off to see GF on friday, working on sat, then curry to celebrate Belch's and Amy's engagement. so doubt i'll get chance til monday or tuesday! Oh crap, got Athlete concert on tuesday! ah, will get them done sometime!!

So things i DIDNT get done tonight. Sort out Cork restaurant for new year. Post on the Rangers blog. So a few things to do tomorrow. Wish there were more social hours in the day!

Eugh.. only a 6-6 draw against the worst team on a thursday. And its their only point of the season. So depressing. They only had 1 good player. But as always we played shite. Bro not nearly as good as he said he was! but at least he got 1 i guess! Well, the death of rangers as we know then! Here's hoping next season will be good! cos this is lame!

wednesday - england match!

Went to Old Trafford today! well, first fought through the traffic to meet AM and pie. It was CHUCKING it down! we got soaked on the walk to the paramount wetherspoon. When we got there, ordered the gorgeous jim bean burger, once we'd found a seat!!! Piggy turned up, was only one not to buy a drink, and drank his bottle of water that he brought with him. And he hadn't even paid for that! he stole it from the red cross during the great north run weeks before! What a HoBo!! Anyway, match was pretty good. we won 2-1 against poland to top the group!

So, we thought after footy that we should arrange friday. A small drink after work. Meet up on oxford road, get a 9pm train or something. Well, i staggered into bed at around 2am!!

Ouch... It finally happened.. We've scored 4,3,2 and 1 goals in the last 4 weeks. and today it was non.. 5-0 loss. 2 goals were down to poor marking. But other than that, we can't complain. Defenders did their job. Just a shame no-one can shoot! And it was poor to see piggy couldn't take the game by the nuts and score a few. Tho admittedly, he wasnt getting any support, as everyone else is defensive!

Ah well, Bro should be able to play next week, and we'll just write this season off. Much like all the others!

Sooo, went to the cinema straight after work yesterday to watch "four brothers" with Belly and Piggy. Not bad! It's an enjoyable mindless romp really. Biggest shock of the night was my dinner!!! Had a quarter pounder meal from McDonalds. Not bad. tasted nice. Chips had just enough salt on them. Then saw how many calories it all had! So, Quarter Pounder MEDIUM size value meal with fanta and fries? Just over 1000 calories and 29gms of Fat! OUCH!!! I dont think i'll be eating that again!!! Big mac was 150 less calories. But chicken grill is best. only 75 calories for the chicken!

Anyway, on the way back went past the Lambourghini Garage.. Beautiful!

Who wouldnt have one if they were the sultan of brunai!!

Anyway, tonight i've sneaked off to spend the night with the GF. Cant get up at 630am again!!! And i can get up at 7:45 here!!! Then onto footy tomorrow night, and have a feeling i'm at home this weekend as the GF is likely away.

Wow! Busy weekend!

So, Friday, went to the GF's after work. Then dived out to meet shiz and Pie at 2 pubs in manchester. £5.90 for a strongbow and Gin & tonic. Manchester decor at London prices!!! Then Saturday went out to have lunch with an old work colleague. The infamous Tom Delaney! Had a Beautiful burger glazed with a Whisky sauce. TASTY! That was in wetherspoons. Then onto a job fair. Was crap. Mainly call centre jobs. Then in the evening watched Zatoichi. Its a groovy Japanese film directed by Beat Takeshi! Great director!

Still, onto Sunday. Went to the Trafford Centre. It's only 26 Min's on bus. Needed to get dad a bday card. Had nandos for lunch. Tasty chicken! Bought some jelly beans from selfridges, and got some ice cream to enjoy during "hero" in the evening. This is a CRACKING movie directed by Zhang Yimou of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "House Of Flying Daggers" fame! Still ice cream didn't fair well.. See below!

And then today, went to work from uni. Was supposed to be learning the CHAPS/SWIFT international payment system. Will look great on my CV. However, was so busy at work, had to skip some lunch just to get 1 payment done!!!

And finally, Pub tonight. No Hornsby's, but that doesn't mean no pub people!!! Still gonna get 6 down tonight for fun and games.

Footy tomorrow. 830 against Puss in Boots. I haven't played them this season. I'm not confident. We're about 8 games in. Our 3 strikers have all scored a pitiful 6 each. And i have 3!!! Half the total of the top goal scorers. Its really very worrying. Hope we play tight again this week!

So today is a tuesday. What happens on a tuesday? Well whereas Naomi was having a nerve wracking interview in Las Vegas, the rest of us had to slum it. Read the Guardian newspaper again

Seriously, so sick and tired of tabloids, and its such a breath of fresh air to learn about things! Whereas The Sun readers in the office where learning about Sharon Osbourne's life in showbiz. I was reading about the great firewall of china, and how oil reserve totals are being faked so that the countries involved are allowed to produce more. All V interesting!! My only gripe is that there's 4 parts to the paper and you can't hope to read it all!!! Not in 45 mins lunch!!

Anyway, Board of directors were in today. And they brought news for the bank i work at. Business plan is due in shortly. should all be wrapped up including us receiving a parting payment by march 31st. And they're battling for more money for us as its taken so long for the sale! Sounds good to me!

And finally Stockport county are offering half price tickets to see county Vs Barnet on sunday the 13th November, as long as you go with a season ticket holder. Sounds tempting, tho i'd like to know a price first!

Still at the GF's. So far we've watched practically no TV this weekend. Not least due in part to the crap number of good shows on TV at the moment! Still, this has meant Robbie Williams, James Blunt and Daniel Powter have all been getting good plays. STILL trying my best to get her interested in JB and DP! relentless listening should wear her resolve down as i have done to other people. Tho i think Athlete is reserved for the chosen special few!!

Anywho, I'll post some pics up tomorrow night when i get home of what we did on Saturday. Its nice being so close to Manchester really. around 8 minutes on any bus from here, and you're in piccadilly gardens! Which is gonna be great for Xmas shopping!!

Anyway, work owes me £5 for drinks money last week and this coming week. So will def have money for the pub!! Hehe! So see you there!

Well, posting this from my GF's uni room. Its all looking so good now! She's def a Rascle's GF! LCD TV on the wall, Svelte Sony Vaio laptop hooked up to the broadband, and my folks bought her a little speaker set for her ipod mini. Its sooo cool too! dead loud, and much better than the speakers on the laptop. Won't drown out the dude from upstairs, but it will make dinners here so much nicer!

Anyway, mini wrote up a match report on the blog. He is always good at writing the reports. Tho my feeling on the subject is that pie wasn't really fully aware in the match. Well, for the first 10 Min's anyway. Big Rick got pissed off with the team, and gave up at times! I ran my little heart out! Was bearing down on loose balls trying to win them, and taking a few shots. Tho i was busy at the back, so wasn't much hope of me getting my 4th! Hoping to score another 2 or 3 this season. That'd be good! Anyway, blocked a shot with my right thigh yesterday and its soooo sore today! Why do i block shots, when we have a goalie as good as belly!!! Heh! Also, looks like the famous toe is making a return. Bit painful today, and looks like its only a few days until my nail half falls off! Nothing to worry about, as its just the dead bit on top, and there's fresh new stuff underneath. But might rule me out of a few matches!!

Anyway, good look to Vegas bound friends. all the best with that job interview. As for the rest of you, will be at the pub on Monday, and so will piggy! so you all have to be too!!

So, another STUNNING week at work so far.. Sigh! Been so much quieter than usual! No idea why! Lets see what my office looks like at lunch shall we?

Where is everyone?!

Yup, you might just see the head of my colleague shane, who ironically was ON lunch. Everyone else just buggered off and left me to run teh damn office! Lucky no phones rang, and no-one used the counter for around 30 mins! So that was fun!

Anyway, what do you do when you're bored? Thats right children, text AQA!! I'm sure a lot of you know this service, but for you that dont here's the trick. Sooo, Rascle's home! Sunday, got up at 930 and got the 1103 bus into stockport. But as usual, public transport was destined to screw me over. Some dumb driver had taken out a tree and totalled his/her car on bramhall lane south. place was a mess. parts of car EVERYWHERE. with all the neighbours watching on, as you do. I found it slightly amusing that i stared forward, yet some people on the bus stood up just so they see more gore!

Anywho, the late journey was completed after roadworks near bargain booze, and an argument between youths and an old lady, which led to the bus driver intervening! Sigh!

So, after alls said and done, got to the GF's studio flat in the end. its teeny, but will do OK for a years stay i think. Its only 30 Min's from work, so can go there a lot i figure. And hopefully I'll learn more about Manchester's layout this way!

As for the lads run, details on all their blogs, Except for piggy's. Who has been reported to be utterly miffed he DIDN'T beat shiz. Kept telling him it was a race, and that shiz was better prepared!

So Friday night. Not a spectacular one it has to be said! Pie suggested a horror film called wolf creek. Not my cup of tea tho! And didn't feel like horror tonight! I figured cinema would come up. The lads are doing the great north run, and wouldn't be up for a drink. But i was! Ah well. That's what comes from not having email at work. Sigh.

So, chilled in and watched a film that a mate recommended called cowboy bebop. Its a Japanese anime. Pretty good, was glad to watch it. Had the original Japanese language with English subs too. just the way i like them!

Anyway, Latest silly thing for piggy to say? He had nits (head lice, associated with clean hair mainly) 3 weeks ago and didn't tell any of us. And yet he still shared cars with us on the way to football. He's an idiot. Could have given us all lice, and we in turn could've given them to our family. Charlotte works with kids for gods sake! He's just a moron sometimes. Thinks he's clever, and he's not. If i had head-lice, sure I'd be a tad embarrassed, but I'd still tell people, and stay clear of contact with them! Oh, and then he tells us he had chicken pox a while back. And no, didn't tell anyone about that either! AND he went into work. Not realising that it has the potential to kill in adults, and damage unborn children. Sigh. And people wonder why i take the piss out him!!

So, lads go to Newcastle tomorrow in preparation for the great north run on Sunday. I'm feeling a tad depressed because Naomi is in line for a fantastic job in Vegas (fingers crossed), marks doing that teaching thing now, as is nev and ste. Mini is looking for shiny new jobs, and my GF is starting a masters degree on Monday. And then there's lil rasc.. The cashier.. So tomorrow when i have nothing to do, going to look into some courses i can do to plump up my CV a little. After all, don't really want to leave this job before we get that bonus through. SO in the meantime, its worth getting ready for full scale job hunts!

And then Sunday I'm going to help my GF move into halls in Manchester. Might stay over too, its closer to work, and i have to get bus next week anyway! means i can get up later!

Nintendo causes a real Revolution.

So, the new Nintendo Revolution controller has been released. Many many Sony and Microsoft fan boys are gonna be poo pooing it. Lemme show you the pics first:

So. your first impressions? ugly, clunky, non functional, scarily different. But if you watch the thing being used its an inspiration. The console has a sensor that can you place in front of the TV. This can detect where the controller is in the room. The distance from the TV. Its angle. Where its pointing on screen. It also has the "nunchaku" attachment which has an analog stick. This means in FPS games you can point the controller like a torch. Illuminating where you're pointing. Or moving your character around on a platform game. How about using 2 controllers like drumsticks in a music game? Or maybe as a tennis bat? Or a pool cue. It can detect the speed of movement. use it as a gun. as a mouse. as a laser pointer in sports games. Or a fishing rod. Are you getting the idea? And what about the 2 buttons on the bottom? Turn the controller 90 degrees. Now its suddenly a 2 handed controller able to play EVERY Nintendo produced back catalog game from NES up to the N64. All these available off the Nintendo servers when the system is plugged into broadband.

Its a shame. Sony PS3 won this battle before it began. It has the weight of Sony. But wait. The psp still hasn't got any kick ass games, and its been out 11 months in japan. Nothing is yet getting golden-eye scores. Will the PS3 be better? Its gonna be churning out the same old games. I have to admit, i wanted a PS3 straight away. Raw power is amazing. But Microsoft is building a superb machine with a great online community. And the Nintendo? Its starting to get my vote. Not as powerful, but it will have the most innovative games seen for a LONG time. After all, Nintendo invented the D pad, Shoulder buttons, Analog stick, Wireless controller, rumble feature, and 4 player functionality. Every other company have ripped these ideas off them. Lets see them do that with this beautiful controller.

Wow! another Thursday, another goal! I could get used to this! ball passed to me, i controlled, turned, and lifted just over the diving keeper! not a bad goal! No John to hug me this time, but mark made up for that! 3 in 3 now. The most i ever scored in a season, the most i ever scored consecutively! And now ahead of shiz in the goal scoring league! Oh yes!!!

Anyway, other news, go check out the iPod nano. No hard drive now, just flash memory built in. but its half the thickness of the old V3 mobile.. Woah! That's teeny! But still, only 4Gb memory and 14 hour battery? Mine might not have a colour screen, but its 30Gb, cost £20 more, has 40 Hour battery life, and its smaller than an old cassette tape! so not complaining!!!

Anyway, off to bath now. The tw@ that wears glasses fouled me AGAIN in the match! Pulled me down by the neck when i was in mid air, so i landed funny on my back! That'll make for a fun weekend!

SO! Rascle was up til 5am on Thursday. And up for work at 730am.. Ouch. DIDN'T help that my 110% at footy made me 25% ready for work! Was aching all over! my quads (thighs) were just so tight! But better than Thursday night! couldn't walk to the car!!! The bath obviously did me good when i got back!

Anyway, this aside, Friday i managed to last at work! The morning was spent with cheese on toast as breakfast, and LOTS of fresh fruit juice! talking like 3 litres of the stuff!!! Then the afternoon i was caffeine junkie! Coffee coffee coffee with a redbull and some chocolate thrown in. And it worked! not a single cash error! so was all good! failed to sleep in car as a CERTAIN someone was txting me!!! Still, managed to get in half hour nap at home. To had NO idea what was going on for the next 2 hours! so groggy!

Piggy picked us up to go to Marple. No idea what he was talking about. Then we picked up Pie. And off to meet shiz and Mark at the Navigator pub in Marple. Not bad, a few pints there, so piggy could nurse his 1 pint. LOTS of talk of footy. Onto the pineapple to end, as its a nice lil pub. Tho ended up talking to yet ANOTHER old dude in the toilets! Then offended some guy!!!

The Barmaid poured a strongbow cider for me, a bitter for him. He went for his and mentioned how we couldn't get it mixed up, as he'd never drink that shit, referring to my pint. Without looking i said, "hey, this stuff puts hair on your head!", only to look round and see he was as bald as a coot. Made a hasty exit!!!

So, just played footy. No piggy (fake foot injury?!), Mini (ligament damage), Justin (late kick off), or big rick (pulled out). So a team of me, belly, pie, shiz and mark were supplemented by Nev and Rick life. Well... we lost 21-4.. So, why the big smile on my face? Well, for 1 i played 110%!! I gave everything my body could give, and a little more. And feeling it now!! Legs are killing!! Ran myself out!!! But i DID score another goal! Yay!!! Another good one too! got myself into space on the left, called for the pass. Pie passed, i controlled, took a look, and curled it a lil into the far corner scoring just off the post! Cracking! 2 in 2! What IS going on!

To be honest, we would never have won that, even with strikers! they were just too damn good! NOT the same white russians we used to play! lots of new faces!! Oh well, another goal for rascle. its looking good! could've scored hat trick if i had a right foot instead of 2 left!!!

Also, Motorola announced the oh so fearsome "itunes" phone.

But wait, is it as good as my W800i? NOPE!!!! No matter how much memory you put in (it will come with a 512Mb mem card), you can ONLY store 100 songs?! go figure! operating system mustn't handle more! Cam is only VGA!!! Not the 2MP i have! and the screen isnt anything to write home about! So once again, Rascle hasn't bought shit!

Tho that said, the PSP HAS crashed a few times. Usually when i make the PSP sleep during wipeout cut scenes. or during a tournament at any stage. still, its worth it for that lush screen and bleeding graphics! took it to show the lads during england match at shiz's yesterday. And everyone said it was faster than they expected! Match was crap, and Piggy took up WHOLE front room.

Tho this does mean the match we're seeing at old trafford is now a MUST win! so will be a great one to be at! even tho we're in the heavens!

Matt at work managed to cut part of a finger off, break another, and lose a nail on a third whilst cutting down a tree with a chainsaw. Don't play with knives children.

And Mikey came in today with a broken hand. Well, so he thinks. it's all purple with various mis-shaped bumps! so off to hospital he went. He'd been fighting on Sunday night, AGAIN! No text back tho on how he is!

So, its a chilled (read: HOT) sunday evening, and just watched some programs on sharks. V interesting! Esp when they lowered ruby wax in a cage to the sharks!!!

Yesterday watched "Lemony Snickets, a sreies of unfortunate events." I really liked it! The end credits are V stylish, and Jim Carrey is as good in this as he was in "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind". Love that style of acting that he does!

Anyway, friday night. Went to the railway pub in stockport, opposite the peel centre. Its a real ale pub. Not bad. Ayingerbrau lager is like £1.50 a pint! and i get hammered on very few pints of it! great stuff! Anyway, here are the pics!!

Yup, lazy lazy days!

Friday i chilled in, and watched movies. nice and relaxing! The GF came over saturday afternoon, and we watched oceans twelve on Sky box office. Not as good as eleven really.

Then today we watched United beat Newcastle, and England win the cricket. We've been getting strangely into it! Its dull, but good to see england won something! Been watching it since friday!

As for tomorrow? GF is leaving at 1pm. So might get round to watching all of season 4 south park! Well, that'll always be the dream... Not long til psp tho! Then its bye bye rascle!

Its mini's ankle. He went over on it badly. A brief trip to A&E and he has ligament damage. So no mini for 2 weeks.. eugh! So thats the end of rangers winning streak!!!

Well, onto this weekend. Fell out then made up with a good mate. GF ISN'T going to hongkong now. Her friend couldn't get time off work. SO may or may not see her this weekend. we'll see. But its a BANK HOLIDAY!!!! 1 extra day in bed! its sad to think we all get so excited about this. But its the last one before xmas!! So savour it people!!

IT's SO BLOODY QUIET AT WORK!!! Only excitement i had with money today was when a customer paid in some cash at the end of the day. had been dead for the rest of the day!

Tho, there is the promse of training on the CHAPS/SWIFT systems. These are the ways UK banks send money domestically and abroad on same day transfers. Something good to put on my CV anyway!!

Oh, and also discovered i've lost more weight! Which is also nice to discover! Heh heh.

So, got my "early" night last night. Bed by about 1130 after a conversation with a mate. Then got extra hour in bed! Cos i got a lift in!

However, today was B O R I N G ! ! ! ! ! I mean, i know banking is boring, but today?! dull dull dull! Geesus! Hardly any customers, hardly any calls. Sounds good huh? WRONG!! sit around all day bored out my skull, and now worried about friday. because no pay ins means a possible lack of cash! And its already scarily low...

That's it. Rascle has finally decided an early night is in order! I'm exhausted!! didn't sleep before 2 am all last week, and up at 630 everyday!!

Wed sleep at 230am
Thurs up 620am, asleep 330 am
Fri up 620am, sleep 230 am
sat up 730am, sleep 3am
sun up 1030am, sleep 230 am
mon up 630 am.

And I WANT to sleep at 10!!! But have to go to pub to discuss cork. Well, don't HAVE to it guess. we kinda know where we're staying i think. And i guess it'll be fun listening to everyones gossip. But sleep sounds SOOOO good right now...

You know that point. when you open an email, and your heart skips a beat. This came in one of those emails! I nearly clicked buy me now! Until i took a breath, and realised that it may be cool and things, but i'm saving for a ps3. Twenty a month into a savings account. by the time the ps3 hits uk shores prob next september, i'll easily have the funds to afford one then! MUCH better than my current habit for impulse buying!!

Other than this, HOT day, DULL DULL DULL at work. England play Denmark in a friendly match tonight on sky, and Lost is on 4 at 10. So should be a full tv orientated evening!!

So, i have 2 new children in my family. lets see their names and personality shall we?

Firstly, the eldest, NW-HD5HS. The limited edition 30Gb 40 hour smaller than a deck of cards of ipod mini, mp3/atrac walkman. Its' truelly a work of art. black/white contrast screen. the sound is amazing! the batt is lasting forever! Played it at justins over the stereo, in the car, and on the bus today. Its just great!

And the youngest is W800i. The new walkman phone. 512Mb+34Mb memory. 2 megapixel caerma that shoots video as well as GREAT stills! Will post some tomorrow of the weekend. WAS going to post them now, but been sucked into the cricket here. It seems quite exciting, tho i have no idea whats going on if i'm honest!!!

Got an email off empire direct, MP3 player order in and should be here shortly! Which is great, missing my music so much. You just dont know how frustrating sitting on a bus humming a whole album is! Back into "Three Days Grace" now. Not sure how i got into them.. Maybe they supported someone? Anyway, Mobile phone is released on friday! So hopefully have that by saturday! Love the sony gear man! And wont get stuff like this for another 15 months probably!! Walkman phone is great! 2MP camera, so the next time we're missing a camera for something funny, we'll get a great quality picture of it! instead of my VGA pics!

Just been flicking round everyone elses blog. Gee whizz! Anton, Shiz, Justin, Mini, Pie, and myself have blogs. Its painful reading them all! I figure i should just write less and post more pics!! Cinema today to see Stealth! Was ok. Switch off your brain, and love the action kinda film. Then off to pie's for charity shield. Eugh. Arsenal Vs Chelsea. Did we want either to win?!

As it is Chelsea won 2-1. Wasn't a great match, and we had piggy throughout which is often a test of patience! Yet despite this we're still trying to get him to come to Justins house warming next saturday. GF said she's drive us. Will be nice to go in a BMW opposed to me being squished in the back of any car!! And i get to control music! Oooh yeah!!! Heh heh! Should be good anyway. Not seen Justins house. And looks like he'll have another house warming in 6 months when he moves out of this place! LoL!!! 2 weekends of drinking. Ouch! Then its the wedding!!! 3 weekends of drinking! What am i thinking?!!!!

Anyway, off to post on the rangers blog now. Since its gone all quiet on there!!
